An award-winning location, Reader's Digest named Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk as one of the "Best Boardwalks of America." Additionally, AARP has named Rehoboth Beach as one of five dream towns as "Best Places to Retire."

As a year-round beach town, Rehoboth Beach presents several annual events and festivals. Take the family to the 4th of July Fireworks, Art Walk and Paint-Out or the scrumptious Chocolate Festival. Enjoy the Mardi Gras festival that features New Orleans-inspired cuisine and Cajun cooking, live music and beads to go with the beverages. Other planned events include Bandstand Musical Concerts, Fall Sidewalk Sale, the October Jazz Festival, SeaWitch Halloween and Fiddler's Festival, Holiday Tree Lighting, the Fine Art & Craft Show, Cabaret Fest (which is held at local restaurants), and Blues at the Beach Music Festival. The community also bands together for benefit and charity programs including the Boardwalk Light and Night Walk with lighted balloons, Beach Brunch, Community Unity Dinner and the Merchants Attic and General Public Garage Sale the state's largest indoor garage sale.
